Slush 2024

This year we had the privilege of attending Slush again, perfectly timed to coincide with the first snowfall in Helsinki. Our primary goal was to showcase our API-first digital health platform to some of the 13,000 attendees from around the world.

Our focus was twofold:

To understand how startups and enterprises can scale their development efforts using our platform.

To gauge whether investors recognise this as a strategic advantage for their digital health startup portfolios.

Key insights from Slush

We observed a clear and growing demand for a certified development platform in the digital health space. One of the biggest challenges faced by European startups is achieving regulatory compliance, in particular obtaining a CE mark with MDR Class IIa certification. These certifications are often significant hurdles, slowing down healthcare software development to an average of six times slower than standard software.

With Actimi Signals set to receive its CE mark for MDR Class IIa certification this December, our platform becomes an invaluable tool for start-ups and established companies alike. It provides a compliant, robust foundation that reduces regulatory barriers and accelerates the development process. This positions our platform as a game changer for companies looking to innovate in a highly regulated industry.

Highlight: Developer SDK for rapid deployment

Designed for rapid and stable deployment, our Developer SDK was one of the most anticipated features launched at Slush. Fast and reliable deployment in a secure environment is critical to success in the digital health sector, and the enthusiastic response from attendees validated our approach.

We would like to thank the German Trade and Invest (GTAI) organisation for providing us with the platform to showcase our innovation. We also commend the Slush team for organising another exceptional event that remains unparalleled in its focus on founders and startups.

Looking ahead, we are more committed than ever to supporting digital health innovation with our API-first platform, bridging the gap between regulatory compliance and rapid development.
